Natalie draws on a number of therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing skills. Having a strong background in group work she has facilitated depression, postnatal depression, sleep, distress tolerance, substance use and bipolar groups.

Alongside a strong interest in the practical application of therapies, Natalie has a longstanding interest in research. She was awarded a Bright Future Top Achiever Doctoral Scholarship in 2001 to complete her research in neuropsychology (understanding how the brain relates to behaviour). She also held a position as research psychologist for the Auckland Eating Disorders team. Natalie is associated with the Parent-Infant Research Institute (Melbourne Australia).

The philosophy underpinning all of her work with clients is: “given the right circumstances, anyone can experience emotional difficulties, so treat compassionately, non-judgmentally and accountably”.
